NFA Simplified

If you've considered adding an NFA item such as a suppressor, short barrel rifle, or short barrel shotgun to your collection but have avoided it due to the tax stamp and additional paperwork then fret no more! BR Gun Supply now has an in-store process that simplifies the NFA purchasing process by allowing you to submit all the necessary paperwork, fingerprints, and photos necessary right at our counter. Everything is then submitted electronically, removing the paperwork submission headache and streamlining the approval wait time for your new NFA purchase/transfer. In order to purchase an NFA item from BR Gun Supply, you must be at least 21 years of age, a resident in one of the 42 states that currently allow civilian ownership of suppressors, and be legally eligible to purchase a firearm.

When can I take possession of my NFA item?

NFA paperwork must be approved by the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives) and tax stamp issued before taking possession of any NFA items.

How long does it take for NFA paperwork to be approved?

ATF processing times can vary greatly depending on the transfer form required, the type of transferee (individual or trust), and paper forms vs eForms. Current processing times can be found on the ATF's resource center on their website. https://www.atf.gov/resource-center/current-processing-times
